Courage Is;Courage Does

the ability to do something that frightens one. "She called on all her courage to face the ordeal."  The best definition, expressing what courage is, fails to reveal the power of all courage does:

_Courage helps us face frightening obstacles, pushing past fear.

_Courage steps-out when doubt say, “stay in the safe margins.”

_Courage stands for right, when our need for acceptance allows compromise.

_Courage goes the extra mile, when fear whispers, “quit, now.”

_Courage fuels the “don’t-ever-give-up” fire in our bellies, when inadequacy says:  “You will never achieve your goals.”

_Courage does believe for better tomorrows—regardless of difficult circumstances saying, “No way!”

_Courage whispers, “Yes, YOU!” when the voice of darkness says, “Never YOU!”

_Courage does act boldly, when insecurity, says, “shrink back.”

Courage is power at work in the hearts of every believer, spurring us on towards greater glories, helping us accomplish unimaginable joys.  Courage rushes in, like a best friend, cheering us on, helping us run the race marked for us—victoriously.   “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ESV

Courage helps us live with self-abandon—running faithfully wild and free—unencumbered by our many fears and insecurities; because, Jesus, is the definition of courage, Dear-Heart—the embodiment of all courage does.  Go, courageously friend, knowing you are never alone in facing each “ordeal” life throws your way. With Jesus, your courage-giver, there is nothing too difficult, or too hard. Go, courageously enjoying the fullness of all He is and all He does in the life of a faithful follower, like YOU! I can’t wait for you to read my most recent book, entitled:

I’ve prayerfully chosen eleven women of the Bible who were true over-comers. Each faced overwhelming obstacles, but God equipped them with all that courage is, and all that courage   does. Each overcame fear and insecurity for lives of confidence and freedom.  I can’t wait to hear how, like me, you found a part of yourself in each of these courageous eleven. And, I look forward to hearing from you, after you finish reading your copy:

Go, courageously, friends!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."      Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV
